Step 1. Sign up for Google.
1) Click on this link [1] and register your domain in Google Apps;
2) After creating a Google-account, you should verify ownership of
the domain. If you don't want to do this, then you won't be able to
use Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
Let's consider confirmation of domain ownership "Edit CNAME entry":
For cPanel Users >> Domains >> Simple DNS Zone Editor >> Add an CNAME
Record:
Name: [unique string]
CNAME: google.com
For Plesk Users >> DNS Settings >> Add entry
Record type: CNAME
Enter a domain name: [unique string]
Enter the canonical domain name: google.com
Step 2. Adding MX records for the domain from the registrar's side.
If you use cPanel control panel, please make it in the following way:
Mail >> MX Record and add these entries:
Priority ASSIGNMENT
10 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
20 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
20 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
30 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
30 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
30 ASPMX4.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
30 ASPMX5.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
If you use Plesk control panel, so please make it in such a way:
DNS Setting >> Add record and add the above listed MX records.
Also, Google offers to add or replace an existing CNAME of this type:
MAIL.DOMAIN. IN CNAME GHS.GOOGLE.COM.
A client can add it or not , depending on his will. It gives you the
following....
By default, Google provides you with the following URL -
http://mail.google.com/a/example.com in order to access the Google
Apps of your website.
After adding an entry, you will be able to use the so-called custom
URL - http://mail.example.com
Remember! All the changes in the DNS zone of the domain take effect
after it gets propagated, the propagation time usually takes 2-72
hours.
Important! In order to have possibility to edit the domain zone in
the control panel cPanel, you should use our Nameservers.
